Meet the Doctor!

Dr. Kulkarni began his career as a consulting dermatologist in 1981 after graduating from the prestigious Grant Medical College, Mumbai with M.B.B.S and M.D degrees. He also got his D.D.V from College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPS), Mumbai. He received formal training in HIV/AIDS medicine from National Aids Control Organization (NACO) & Maharashtra State Aids Control Society (MSACS).

He is a member of the coveted societies like “Indian Association of Dermatology, Venerology and Leperology” (IADVL) and “Indian association of Sexually transmitted diseases” (IASSTD). His articles have been published in FASSTD journals. He served as a Senior Medical Officer at District Government Hospital, Thane where he lead a team of doctors. He and his team offered counseling and treatment to approximately 10000 HIV positive patients

Dr. Kulkarni is passionate about teaching. He worked as a lecturer at Grant Medical College until 1985 while continuing his consulting practice. He returned to his passion in 2007, when he worked as a Honorary Associate Professor at Terna Medical College,Navi Mumbai. Until recently, he worked with CPS as theory and practical examiner for D.D.V and as an inspector for assessing accreditation of many private medical colleges.

He has been actively involved in many charitable causes which include free medical camps hosted by Indian Red Cross Association.
